i've been reading alot about the core i5 and it seems that even the cheapest i5 750 can keep up with the core i7 920 and in some cases beat it. i don't know about you guys but i am feeling like intel screwed everybody that bought the core i7 cpu. at the time(when released) i paid 300+ for the i7 plus 300 for a x58 board plus another 180 or so on tripple channel memory(6GB @1600Mhz) now(a year later) a $200 cpu can keep up and sometimes surpase my i7 on cheaper components, whys is that? like i said i am feeling alittle screwed by intel, anyone else feeling the same way?

Thats good, I didn't get that buzzed last night. I am upgrading several computers today, A Emachine W3505 with 2 gbs of ram, new Antec 450 watt PSU, maybe a 3870 grafix card, and Windows 7 RC 32 bit. Its only got the celeron D 356 at 3.33ghz but it will be interesting to see how it does. I have been upgrading alot store bought computers of friends lately with more ram, and Windows 7 and they are all loving it. Several of these computers, one was a dell with a AM2 board, only a single core processor 3200+ i think. I am amazed at how well these computers perform with 7. The onboard grafix suck on some of them and the processors max out alot when performing some task's but what do you expect with a single core.
