Question Is it possible to start VLC with capture device running

So, I have what is essientialy a webcam connected to the PC and would like that when I start VLC the device is displayed straight away without having to select it or click play etc.

Is this possible?

Maybe some script op app that will emulate the mouse and/or keyboard actions necessary to get the video viewable.

Then that script or app is launched at startup and ready to go....

Something such as "Mouse Move".

For the most part you will probably need to download and try couple of different apps.

You may end up needing to actually purchase a product if the free trials are limited in scope and usage.
