I have Dell Latitude E7240 with 4GB/256GB SSD - Intel Core i7 4600U @ 2.10GHz - Generic PnP Monitor (1366x768@60Hz). I am a web developer in the profession and I started playing in my extra time. i don't have much idea what kind of system needs to play COD 4. well this is working fine on my system and I am playing it for 2 days but one of my friends said that the graphic card is very necessary to play COD 4. so my question is that is it safe to continue playing this game without graphic card and above system specification?

Your friend probably gets better graphics quality and higher FPS than you can manage but he's wrong to say a graphics card is "very necessary". If your happy with what you're getting with just an iGPU, that's fine.

However, you might think you need to get a graphics card when you see the game running on your friend's PC!

So as you can see the requirements are rather low and any of the iGPU's now days will be able to handle the graphics for this game. Could your laptop be helped playing this game with a GPU? Most likely but not necessary since integrated graphics have come so far since CoD4 was released. Back then it was a chip located on the motherboard and now inside the CPU so the tech has come a long ways since those days.
