I want to upgrade my cpu to an i7 3770 and currently have a DH67BL motherboard. Here's my bios version
BLH6710H.86A.0156.2012.0615.1908
will I be able to use it ?

Solution
The socket for the H67 is LGA 1155, the same count on the processor. Yes it'll drop in. Make sure you're on the latest BIOS update for the motherboard and if you're going to use the stock cooler for the processor, make sure it's either the one with a copper core or an aftermarket cooler like a CoolerMaster Hyper 212x/Evo.

Do I need to update my current bios? I really don't know how to. I'm pretty new to all this.
I think you'll be fine on your current bios as the Intel compatibility utility says minimum 150 and I think you're on 156:
https://compatibleproducts.intel.co...eModule=Desktop Processors&pcsr_num=i7-3770#0

Worse case when you install it, it won't boot. If so, then just switch back to your previous processor and it should work again and you can update the bios and try the 3770 again.
