Is there a jack to attach both audio in and out in the laptop

my new HP-mini has only one slot for both audio in and out and mic. as a result i coudnt use my current headphones as it needs two slots. whats the solution please?

Are you sure? To the best of my knowledge the hardware would have no way of differentiating beween input and output devices. Do you have a switch or something in software to set to input or output?

What is the model number?
