Is Thermaltake a good PSU maker?

May be an OK brand, but the TR2 430W from http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermaltake-Purepower-430W-NP-Power-Supply-Review/332/9 (Hardware secrets is known as one of the very few, perhaps 3-4 sites that have reliable PSU testing, along with jonnyguru and a few more) was said to be a 'The main problem with this power supply is that it can’t deliver its labeled power. It is, in fact, a 350 W power supply.' - When it was listed as a 430W psu.

I suggest you go for a Corsair, or any Antec except for Basiq, those are very very reliable (Made by Seasonic). Check newegg and shop around for a nice Antec Neo Eco 620W or Earthwatts 650W, or perhaps from Corsair a 550W HX / 650W HX. Basically anything from corsair is gold- but it comes with a larger price tag however newegg should have nice deals on atleast 1-2 of them, antec with the exception of Basiq power is also tremendous.

Your PSU is important don't cheap out on it!
Even with a new PC if u replace this one, its very likely you can keep a 650W version of the above and still had 2 mid-range future cards or 1 high range

That particular TR2 is completely different from all the other models. All the others are fine. heres a good budget model from thermaltake http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermaltake-Litepower-450-W-Power-Supply-Review/730/10
