[SOLVED] Is this a problem with my Motherboard or my CPU?

Every once in a while all of my USB ports will disconnect at the same time and then a few seconds later all come back on. I have disabled windows' ability to disable it to save power. The USB ports seem to turn off a lot more frequently if I am doing something intensive like playing VR games. Also occasionally maybe once every couple of days I get a notification telling me one of my hard drives was unplugged. I figure its time for either a new Motherboard or a new PSU but I cant afford both at the moment and Im not sure which is dying! Thanks for any help.

Solution
Your original question mention the CPU. I would tend to think it's the PSU or the MB....but as far as which one....

I think the best thing to do would be to check the voltages with HWInfo and make sure they remain in spec.

The main voltages are +12, +5 and + 3.3 and they need to remain within 5% of those values.

If they remain in spec, I would think it's the MB. If not.....the PSU.
