Hi friends,
i have HP vectra VL400MT, with P-III,866/ 512mb RAM-133,
for graphics right now i am using Riva TNT 2-16Mb/AGP , My moniter direct connect with out put !!!!!

I have VooDoo2 , Graphix Accseleter (still not connected) if i use this with Riva TNT 2, is it make any fast performance in 3D- Render or doesn't make any difference !!!

i need review of you expert
if it makes vast difference i will plan to set up

thanks in Advance

No, you can't use the Voodoo with your TNT2 to speed up your graphics. They are not compatible together. I suggest you use the TNT2 and leave the Voodoo2 alone.

Did I go back in time about 8 years? This is an OLD SKOOL question but the simple answer is no, the two cards to not work together to render 3D graphics. If you need more power then you can upgrade to any $20 to $50 video card that will me many times faster than those two cards.

I sure do miss the days when 3D video cards were nice and simple.

i still got a pair of voodoo2's sitting around, ah the good old days

anything geforce2 and above would ace the combo, the voodoo2 needs compatible games too 😉

I thought that i'd never hear someone say that they're doing something with a tnt 2.

Hmm try maybe getting at least a geforce 2.

From your specs i think that buying newer agp cards are quite out of the question. In my opinion, try to get a cheap new rig. buying cards such as a geforce mx 440 would really hinder its benefit since i am assuming that your board is an agp 2x board. You can get pc's at least 2x faster for maybe as low as $500. Well it's just a suggestion anyway. Goodluck!

It has a 2x/4x AGP slot. You can use about any AGP card that has drivers for Windows 98 (unless you upgraded from that already.) I'd try to get a cheap Geforce 4 Ti or Radeon 8500 off ebay.

it has been proven many times that the slot speed DOES NOT MATTER - the performance diffrence between 2x and 8x AGP is ~10%, and PCIe above that if i remember correctly actually looses performance by ~5%
