I've just built my new PC and decided to use a Seagate Barracuda 3TB HDD to use as a file space. The HDD was bought from Amazon new but I think the drive is broken. I hear no bad noises from the drive and the computer recognises it but doesn't want to boot to Windows. Instead an American Megatrends message appears.
It detects 2 devices (M.2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB) and my HDD (SATA6G_3 ST3099DM007-1WY10G). The error message is as follows: SMART Failure Predicted in SATA6G_3: ST3000DM-1WY10G.
WARNING Please back-up your data and replace your HDD.
A failure may be imminent and cause unpredictable fail. Press F1 to run setup.
