[SOLVED] Just bought the 3900x

The MOBO I have MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON and there is no bios update for 3rd gen but there is 3rd gen support for the X370 GAMING PRO & X370 GAMING PLUS can I use the X370 GAMING PRO bios or no or buy a new mobo. thanks!

In theory it should, but in reality it will probably brick your board. You can try and call MSI and ask them.

If you dont care what happens to the board, then give it a shot, but if you do, then you should either wait and see if they release the update or get another board.

They just realeased a beta bios that support the new ryzen CPU with the x370 gaming pro carbon! Do you still have it? Im considering running on 3900x on it in the near future...
