Idk what just happened I upgraded my pc to an m.2 SSD from the previous SSD I had. I initially wanted to just wanted the m.2 to have files on it but when I turned on my pc I booted into bios and the old SSD was on the boot list. So I just decided to install windows onto the m.2 the problem is that the SSD is not showing up anywhere I have looked in device manager it was not there either. something like this has happened before with the old SSD there has been a few times I connected an old hardrive to my pc I could never get them to show up so I got myself an external hard drive well thanks for the help.

Which motherboard model you have?

Check your motherboard manual about shared NVMe and SATA ports. Seems occupied NVMe slot disabled SATA port on motherboard where old SSD was connected. If correct then connect SATA drive to different SATA port.
