Almost 2am now and it sounds like someone just turned up the rushing
wind sound outside. Getting a bit more gusty instead of being a solid
hiss of a stiff wind.

I wish it wasn't dark. I'd like to see this.

If y'all weren't right under the path of it, I might say "Yes".
But since you have no idea (yet) of what's to come, and I do,
I'm saying "No!".

I'm going to bed now, even though I'm worried sick.

Here's hoping you were up all night and are still video
taping the events around you. I figure it's about 10 minutes
until 7:00am your time, since I *think* New Orleans is in
the Central time zone.

I will try to think nothing but good thoughts. Like, your
power is simply out, or your ISP is borked. I'm debating
staying up a bit longer to watch the news, but I think if I
see bad damage, I'll just worry more. :eek:}

I was born to worry, I think.

Maybe it's a "mom thing".

Maybe I'm just an idiot.

Yes...

I just heard Kat is going east of NO and that Slidell is going to be wiped
off the map.

Now I thinking: doesn't Smeg live in Slidell?

I'm a first-person thinker. If *I* were in the hurricane,
I'd be documenting *everything*.
But somehow, when it's someone I know, I just worry.
