Kids I tell ya! [:russwood1488:2]

Same goes for AvP being totally partial to amd cards.
While Just Cause 2 is more like a neutral one,but the 680 wins there too. :heink:

This just in -

Just cause 2 is a hard core Nvidia TWIMTBP game as in not neutral at all and Nvidia card run much much better on that game SURPRISE! plus the only Nvidia TWIMTBP game that runs well/better on Radeon is Metro 2033.

So, any new news on what we've been calling the 685? I'd be really impressed if they could get it and the rest of the line out (or even paper launched) this month. I'd be very happy too though.

Who cares when there Zotac GTX 680 8GHZ OC Edition

Just Cause 2 is a twimtbp game,i know but in benchmarks,it doesn't always support nvidia gpus,so it can be termed neutral.Benchies:-

And if I take out the AvP title for the same reason you are invalidating other titles, the result stands 7970(1) vs 680(4).What more can you carry on to say for your defence?

How are you trying to justify youself in saying that it does not matter Nvidia makes there games to run good on Radeon to when we all know thats not the case LOL. You said "it doesn't always support nvidia gpus" what happened to all the Nvidia fanboys saying Nvidia has the best support and drivers LOL logic failed.

As far as anyone knows the 685 (GK110 chip) is ambiguously due out in the 2nd half of 2012....so any time between July 1st and December 31st. Probably August/September...

gk110 taped out in late jan or early feb, would take 7 months to get it to market if there aren't any problems with the chip. If they need to redo stuff it would be another 3 months more.

you are looking at a september launch at the earliest.

I think the 680 4GB are coming out in April. Along with 670 and 670ti. You may want to hold off a couple weeks.

EDIT: Although then again with the TSMC production halt who knows when they will actually be available to buy. It will probably be a paper launch like the 680 was/is

I am holding off until at least Ivy, however my problem is that this was to be a dual purpose gaming/compute card, and with the 680's DP performance the 580 decimates it in compute. Also, the 580 uses the exact same architecture as the compute cards that my school has in its supercomputers, giving a double benefit.

I just noticed this one Nvidia's driver page... it certainly wasn't there a few days ago, but I don't know when it was added. There isn't any actual drivers attached, it is news though I guess. :)

they should've also listed the GT 640m then. But since they haven't,i think its a discrete card, say a rebrand of GT 520.

thats the radiator from my VAN!

If you actually search for the 620 driver, well when I did it returned no results ? the 680 was fine.
I defiantly agree that its a discrete card. Mobiles all come with a M on the end.

Mactronix :)
