Say is there any word on the street as to when the A revision is going to be out? I've been wanting to get a new MB, but have been going by one of the reviewers recomendations to wait for the A revision of the KT333. I have a SiS 735 CS which is not much of a leap from to KT266 so I am waiting for two leaps.

i havent heard any word on the KT333A chipset...but i hear that VIA is coming out with the KT400 chipset soon...

735 is a great chipset, too bad it didn't get much support from board manufacturers, due to VIA threatening to short supply their chipsets to anyone offering the 735 also. Since you already have a good chipset, and haven't mentioned any problems with the motherboard, I would say keep what you have!

At least half of all problems are caused by an insufficient power supply!

The KT266 isn't too bad (although the 266a is a lot better), but really I'd wait as long as possible before getting a new board. Although the real value of the new chipsets and related features (such as higher RAM frequencies and AGPx8) have yet to be established, the performance increase you'd get is unlikely to offer you real value for your dollars.

Hang on for the new AMD Hammer and related boards & chipsets. It's not easy to wait, I know. I have a 1GHz Duron and a TNT2 Ultra with 128MB PC133 SDRAM (*hangs head in shame*) and I can't wait to upgrade. But when I do spend my cash, I want the best deal possible, and there's too much around the corner to think about buying now.

Sex is great but it's no substitute for the real thing.....

I'm personnally waiting for some HAmmer and Prescott head-to-head competitions. Only then will I decide what I'm gonna buy. Hammer and Prescott's launch dates seem to be converging. With AMD pushing Hammer's lauch date back and Intel accelerating forward their Prescott, I'm really looking forward to that competition.
