Hi everyone,

I got a machine that is

p3 900 (150*6)
256mb SDRAM (128*2)
windows XP
Geforce2mx 32mb

I have had done all I could to tune that machine, BUT when play WC3 it is still lag.
In the game I use 800*600 32bit, and all the effect are on medium.

my question is:
if i add more RAM, will it run more smooth?
and what is a limit spec for run WC3 very smoothly?

thanks

set the color depth down to 16 bit. it makes a small difference in image quality and a huge difference in framerate.

i'm not sure what a middle-of-the-road system for war3 is really, i had a P2-350 that ran it very laggy, and now i have a P4+GF4 that runs it perfectly.

upgrading to 512 ram would help significantly, 256MB is really the bare minimum for windows xp.

Also, turning down the color depth will help alot too as mentioned in the post above, hardly noticable in the imagine quality, could gain you 5fps easy.
