Question Laptop Dock monitor issue

So I just bought a new laptop HUB/Dock for school. I've hooked everything up, keyboard, mouse and DP Monitor. However the monitor doesn't detect the hub nor does the computer detect that there is a monitor plugged in. The mouse and keyboard work just fine though. Is this a case of my laptop doesn't support DP or is it a USB C problem?


Laptop: HP Laptop 17-cn3xxx
HUB/Dock: HP TPA-U001H
Monitor: HP P203
