Laptop IDE

I have a laptop, I believe, IDE harddrive. It's 44 pins with that same little key. I was wondering about its pinout and if it's similar to regular IDE. Does anyone know where I can find the pinout of laptop IDE?

Thanks!

you can by an adaptor to go from the laptop to a normal hard drive cable if that is what you are looking for. be warned though, Laptop drives are considerably slower then there desktop counterparts.

Well yeah, but I don't want to go through the fuss of finding a place that sells adaptors and actually buying one. If it's not terribly complex, I'd prefer to make one. Which, of course, would require knowing the pinout of laptop IDE. That's what I'm looking for and despite having looked at the four corners of the internet I still haven't found anything. I was wondering if you guys could help.

Well, I don't know where you live but loacally I can get these for less then five bucks at my local computer store. For that price it would hardly seem worth the hassle.
