League of legends random FPS spikes

Hi I'm having issues with my game and i don't know what to do I have a i5 2500k 8gb ram gtx 970 and ive checked my cpu temps they're fine when in game doesnt matter what graphics settings im using but if someone uses an ability or I die sometimes it will get an fps spike and its really annoying

Okay I will try this and see how it goes, I've tried locking my fps to 144 with the in game thingy but it doesnt do anything Ill try vsync but i might get input lag
