Every card reader I see on Newegg is cheaply made. I would like one for 20 bucks or less. Also a lot of them had a LED that was constantly on, I don't care if it has a LED I just want it to turn off when I turn my computer off..
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

On my i7-920 computer I have an inexpensive Logisys card reader (from Newegg ~ $15). In addition to this I have an external USB 2.0 portable card reader from Sandisk (~ $20) that I move from computer to computer.

Both have been in use occasionally for over 2 years.

The problem with the Logisys card reader is that it needs two USB pin headers. I bought 2 special USB pin header cables, connected them to the card reader, routed them to the back, and then plugged the cables into 2 USB slots at the rear of the computer.
