My build has a unreliable PSU and I am looking to upgrade it immediately. I have no idea how many watts to get or how many I need and what’s best since I got my pc built for me. Preferably id like it to be under $150 cad and on amazon.ca or canadacomputers.com. I’ve been looking at the rm 550x and 650x but don’t know if they are good or have enough watts for me. Please help.

Seasonic focus gold 650w

Great buy if you're prepared to shop at vuugo

Otherwise txm650(will give you more overhead for future GPU upgrades)

Rmx 550 -which is better quality

With your current components a 550w is more than enough, however spending once now I would personally look at a 650w if possible, in the future that will allow you to run absolutely any cpu/gpu combination.

What if I went went the Rm 650x, would that be fine for my components and be compatible? It’s a fair price on amazon right now
