Right now :: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Hmk7QP
New with ddr5 :: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/CqmBkJ
I have not been following computer tech for the last 2 years
I decided I wanted to upgrade to ddr5 these are the parts I found I think after tax I'm under $550
I realized this was a rash upgrade idea brought on by current sales so I'm asking for some second opinions.

Approximate Purchase Date: in the next 1 to 3 days. if the sales end then I'll probably wait until Thanksgiving
Budget Range: $500-600
System Usage from Most to Least Important: ddr5, wi-fi, one M.2, and SATA.
Country: US
Overclocking: no
Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080 144 hz

edit:
CPU:: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor
RAM:: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory
Motherboard:: ASRock B650E PG RIPTIDE WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard

I'm just looking CPU, Ram, motherboard.

edit:
Thanks for the input
I build for more general stuff. I'm going to try some 3D modeling, Unreal Engine/ blender, But my Main use case is gaming

To be honest now seemed like a good time to upgrade.
I wanted to be able to use my usb c-port and my computer is slow sometimes searching my files and opening pictures.

If it is gaming performance that you are after, the 5700X3D performs as good as the 7700X and sometimes even better.

You could just get the CPU upgrade for now and wait till X870/B850 board with USB 4.0 support comes out with the 9000X3D chips...

Thanks that's a great option, surprised they're still making stuff that works on b550
but It doesn't feel like a good enough upgrade for 180 bucks

Define 'good enough' for us. Performance that equals the 7700X for 180 bucks is a good deal for me. But I leave that upto you to decide. If you pay a bit more, you can get the 7800X3D. I was in the same place as you when i built my PC. I was considering the 7600 but I went with the 7800X3D and I have no regrets.

Sorry to clarify over my 3700x it didn't seem like the 5700x3d was worth $180.
Like instead of upgrading I would just wait longer, frankly for gaming the 3700x hasn't done me dirty. But I like to multitask, lots of different things open and I'm going to jump into some 3D stuff like blender and Unreal Engine. Also it's kind of slow to pull files up might be my Ram idk

Do you view versus.com or user Benchmark as legitimate? Because that's where I base some of my opinion.

Ah, gotcha.

Dont go by versus or userbenchmarks. They only take the quantitative aspect for comparison. Not qualitative. They put numbers against each other without considering the performance.
