Question Low gpu usage high fps

So I feel like I’m the only one having this issue and have stumped even my compsci college professors who I’ve asked. I get high performance from my gpu(3060ti) and mid cpu usage 30-40% on Forza Horizon. However, my gpu usage is never above 1% but in game overlay says gpu usage is close to 90%. My cpu is a 3600x so no integrated graphics, my issue is sometimes my game after playing a while plummets in performance, dropping 60fps and I feel like its due to the game not using my GPU. I’ve updated drivers, dedicated usage to my 3060ti in control panel even though I shouldn’t have to since theres no other gpu in my pc, and even reverted drivers. What possibly could be my issue, 5 bucks to whoever figures it out, I got venmo lol.

It's probably just software issue and the fps dropping may be caused by rendering new areas or not enough free ram space.

Just windows task manager or Nvidia control panel playing tricks on ya mah dude so don't worry it's normal.

In case your talking about the Windows Task Manager, it wont report the correct GPU usage when DirectX 12 is being used it will just show 1-2% normally. Your in game overlay is correct.
