Question Low transfer rate with new Crucial P3 plus 1TB SSD

I am getting horrible transfer rates on my Crucial P3 plus NVMe SSD (rig is brand new)

Sequential read 921.5 MB/s and write 885 MB/s (CyrstalDiskMark)

System info:

Ryzen 5 5600X
MSI Tomahawk B550 max
16GB 3600 CL 18 RAM
GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING OCV2 12G
Windows 11 Build 22631

Any thoughts on trobuleshooting?

How do you have the SSD connected and what slot? Should see far in access of that if used in the upper most m.2 slot and will only work in gen 3 mode because the CPU only supports gen 3.

If you have it in the lower slot it wont perform as fast as it could.

Yeah, it's in the upper spot, and I typoed my processor. It's a 5600x not 3600x, so it should support gen 4.

Is there some reason you are using 64GB test size in cdm?

I've done it at several sizes. The 64GB matched what someone in a YouTube video used on the same drive, so I ran it at that to see it it made a difference. It did not.
