Currently running an ancient HDD and a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB (sata) but looking to make use of the m.2 slot on my mobo (22110, 2242, 2260, 2280, PCI-E 3.0 x4) and getting rid of the HDD as its horrifically slow and starting to make some concerning noises every now and then - looking at 1tb but cant decide what brand/model to go for.

Additionally I read a few articles claiming companys such as samsung have been downgrading new releases of their M.2's dont know if these should be completely avoided now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

Cheers for getting back to me so quick

Just looked on amazon and for the 970 evo the price is currently £178.53 whereas the Evo plus is £123.54 both 1tb - silly question but the 970 Evo Plus is the better option performance wise and is also cheaper - so its a no brainer right?
Tiny benchmark difference between the two, zero user facing difference.
Get the cheaper one, the EVO Plus.
