hello i’m trying to install a m.2 into a Asus Prime B450M-K i don’t have any standoffs or screws and i’m not sure what ones i would need and i don’t have anything that came with the motherboard, it’s just a little hole with no way a screw can be fitted

quite confused as this is my first time building also

hello i’m trying to install a m.2 into a Asus Prime B450M-K but in the screw hole there’s nothing, no binding, nothing for the screw to tie into just a empty hole and i’m not sure how to screw it down if the screw hole has no binding

Please stick to one thread
This is what you'll need to fasten/secure an M.2 drive on that board;

The thing labelled as the M.2 anchor;

Or instead of asking us, you could just contact the shop you bought it from and get them to order one in for you.

this isn’t a possible scenario

Why not? There’s also a pile of them available from eBay.
this pc was built by my family (not me) and they wouldn’t have the answer for this, i’ll happily buy anything i need from ebay to get it to work but i bought a “m.2 screw kit” but as the hole has no binding how can any screw kit work with no binding?

That motherboard came with a mechanism designed for it. That would be the preferred option.

I suppose one could fabricate a mount with some spare parts. You need a standoff of the approximate height of the original mount, but with a screw shaft long enough to extend through the motherboard to attach to a nut to hold in place.
