Question M.2 screw hole has no binding

hello i’m trying to install a m.2 into a Asus Prime B450M-K i don’t have any standoffs or screws and i’m not sure what ones i would need and i don’t have anything that came with the motherboard, it’s just a little hole with no way a screw can be fitted

quite confused as this is my first time building also

the screw hole in the motherboard doesn’t have any grooves so it doesn’t look like any screws can go in

You need the one made for that motherboard. I have never seen another like that particular implementation.

new but i don’t have the box or anything included with it as i got it a long time ago

The needed screws were in the box.

Or might still be on the motherboard, but you're just looking in the wrong place.

then what needed screws would i need? can i get a replacement? also if i do get the right screws how can they even go in with no binding?, also with the unboxing video there’s a anchor instead of screws

[SOLVED] - Board missing M.2 mounting inserts. Fixable?

This motherboard is missing the M.2 drive mounting inserts that the standoffs would screw into. See links below. Is this fixable? I can find standoffs and screws, but not having any luck with those inserts themselves. The board simply has the three empty holes. Front view Back view

this pc was built by my family (not me) and they wouldn’t have the answer for this, i’ll happily buy anything i need from ebay to get it to work but i bought a “m.2 screw kit” but as the hole has no binding how can any screw kit work with no binding?

That motherboard came with a mechanism designed for it. That would be the preferred option.

I suppose one could fabricate a mount with some spare parts. You need a standoff of the approximate height of the original mount, but with a screw shaft long enough to extend through the motherboard to attach to a nut to hold in place.
