Hey Guys,
I will probably need to go to the game's forums but I thought I would try here as well.
*Before I start the story, I have to let you know I can run the game in OS X as well I can it run off Bootcamp (windows7) due to SteamPlay.
As most of you probably know the macbook pro retina operates both on the integrated intel HD 4000 and has an Nvidia Gt 650m
I'm playing a basic game known as Football Manager 2013. I do not believe the game supports sli because it does need the power. For some reason when running the game in OS X mode it rates my system 3/5 stars gpu performance. Therefore this lead to believe it was only using the HD 4000 and not GT. 650. (My friends macbook air with HD 4000 gets an 3.5/5 rating) I did not think would be an issues as this game is not demanding at all. However this proved to be false and the game is running with terrible frame rates. So then I went into the system preferences and in the power saving settings I checked force use Gt 650 at all times. Re-Launching the game with this made no difference.
Then I thought I would try running the game under bootcamp on Windows 7 as in the control panel it rates my gpu performances 7.5 out 7.9 so I assumed it means it was detecting the GT 650 (The GT 650 is also the only device listed in the device manager). Loading the game in windows mode made no difference and it has my system rated even worse at 2/5 stars and always runs slow in the match engine.
Any tips? I do not care which operating system I use to run the game.
