Question Major stuttering in most newer games with rx6700 xt

Anyone know how to fix this type of frame dropping? Right now it seems to be caused by either recording (I am using the radeon software to record) or the Lossless Scaling app which triggers the stuttering almost instantly, but sometimes it happens randomly and I have to restart the game. AUDIO WARNING!!!
Edit: Sorry, it's my first time posting here. These are my full specs:
CPU: i5 11400F
Motherboard: GIGABYTE H510M
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3200MHz (8GB x2)
SSD/HDD: Kingston NV1 1TB M.2
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
PSU: NJoy Alpha 650 (had it for about 8 months)
OS: Windows 10
Monitor:
1.AOC 24G1WG4
2. Samsung S24R35x
BIOS version: FE

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Is this issue on just Left 4 Dead or on other titles? As for the GPU, is this an upgrade to an older GPU? If so, please state the make and model of your prior GPU.

Right now I'm encountering this issue in the Dead Space Remake, but i've also been experiencing it in other demanding games. Before I used to have a GTX 1660 TI and never had issues with it. When I first bought my rx 6700 xt I didn't experience any stuttering problems for the first couple of months. The stuttering began like 4 or 5 months ago which makes me think it's a software issue.

What might have changed since 4/5 months ago when all was well?
Could you use system restore to reset back to then?

Check for malware or a virus.

Look at your program installed list and remove recently installed apps or any others that you do not recognize or need.

It's likely not that cause I reinstalled windows several times and still had this issue.

I see you recently purchased a Njoy Alpha 650w psu.
That raises a red flag to me.
What was the reason for the purchase?
It was cheap mostly. And I didn't know any better. Either way I figured out what the issue was. My pc case is really bad and has terrible airflow. My cpu was sitting at around 90-100 degrees celsius. After removing the side panel it goes down to a comfortable 60-65. I ended up improvising a side panel made out of an old fly screen attached by a few screws, which the case luckily had some holes for. This is what I'm working with rn lol:

Don't be so sure because a hardware issue could manifest the exact same symptoms in the exact same timeframe.

This means that it's far more likely that you're having a hardware issue.

If it were only happening when you were running Relive then I would say that you're overloading the card. If it were only the Lossless Scaling then I would say that there's a compatibility issue there. I don't think that it's a driver issue because I use the exact same driver package as you and I'm running it on four different cards:

1.) ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming OC 24GB
2.) ATi Radeon RX 6800 XT OG Reference 16GB
3.) XFX Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC-III 8GB
4.) Powercolor Radeon RX 6500 XT ITX 4GB

It was possible that there was a problem with the specific installation that you had but, as you said, you re-installed Windows.

You've done a pretty good job of covering all of your bases before posting. I believe that there's either a problem with the card itself, or, as @geofelt said, the PSU is causing the problem. Either way, I believe that it's definitely a hardware issue.

What driver are you using? Might the driver have been updated 4 or 5 months ago?

I've a 6700XT and have no problems with it. I rarely update the drivers, and a few months ago I decided to update because I might have benefitted. Instead I got instant stuttering in games which I traced to stuttering/lag in mouse input (you could see it happen to the desktop cursor). I went back to the previous driver and the problem instantly went away.

I'm not saying you've got mouse lag, but it might be a driver issue if reinstalling Windows just results in you reinstalling the same driver. Try a different driver - maybe the latest, if you don't have it, or whatever driver you were likely using when you first got the card.

Hi, check you task manager processes and performance and hware usage while you have a game running and check if there are high usage processes/apps running in the background. Post screenshot of both if possible. Cheers

I tried lots of different drivers for my gpu. Even old ones from like 2022 and there was no difference. I don’t think the gpu is the problem. I still think the airflow is the problem. Maybe because when I took my pc to install my new psu they had to move the top fan to the right and that may have ruined the airflow. I’m planning to buy a new case and a new cpu cooler in the future but this will do for now. Thanks for everyone’s help.

There isn’t anything like that. I’m just playing very demanding games and that’s why my pc is generating so much heat.
