Master XP system remembers there was a slave....

I had a backup system on a Slave drive, removed the Slave
Drive, and now when I boot the Master, all alone and
properly jumpered, it starts up giving me a choice of
one system or the other. Sure, I can choose this Master,
but is there a way I can delete a line that's offering
this non-existent option?

Do a Google search on "edit boot.ini"

START, RUN, MSCONFIG
Hit the BOOT.INI tab, hit the "Check all boot paths"
button

Okay, Bobby, here's what's there:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect

How do I modify this?

Gracias, Diaz. Went there, found the unneeded line,
deleted, rebooted, starts up now without the extra option.
