If you are looking at differences between RAM modules being sold or if you are just checking some RAM models of your motherboard's Memory QVL that have been tested, you may have come across with these hard-to-figure-out RAM Product Items/Codes such as: "HX430C15SB2/8" or "TED416G2133C1501" or "AVD4U24001608G-4M" or "BLS8G4D240FSA". What do these numbers/letters mean?

Let's dissect these product codes to find out its meaning so we can be familiar with the specific RAM we are looking for:

Thank you raisonjohn :) This well documented article is quite some work.

Very detailed and compiled list and a must for those trying to understand RAM kits.
You're very welcome! :)

Btw, I have updated the original post due to the reformatting of our forum (uses a different BB Code styling than before) which have rendered my previous post unreadable. This time, the nomenclature are shown in tables, which I hope, will still be easy to understand.
