Hello, I recently built my new PC and upon installing windows was immediately hit with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error (so far 5 times, and kernal security check error only once). I eventually got Windows to install and ran MEMTEST, which resulted in over 7000 errors (insane). I've tried reseating the RAM to different slots, reseating the CPU, trying each stick individually and observing for any interal damage.

So far, none of my solutions work. It even got stuck in a boot loop when I turned on XMP profiling and had to reset BIOS. I also updated the BIOS to latest firmware yesterday. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Side notes: I've monitored temperatures and they haven't gone over 50C during any point. I also do not have another stick of DDR5 ram to test at this moment. (The memory management error usually only happens when I try to install new software, seemed to happen not at all while benchmarking).

Specs
Motherboard: MSI Z690 Gaming Edge WiFi
RAM: Corsair DDR5 64gb Platinum
PSU: Corsairs RM1000x
Graphics card: MSI RTX 4080
CPU: Intel i9-12900k 3.20ghz 12th gen
OS: Windows 10

many, many dried tears.

I'm wondering if, at this point, my best option would be to refund the motherboard and get a newer model. I've heard other people getting similar issues with the mpg z690 but I'm not entirely sure what to do yet.

It is a tough call. If you had different memory to exclude the memory as the problem, it would make your decision easier. What kind of cooler are you using? Just wanted to mention it to check it for being overtightened/too snug can cause errors. Next troubleshooter would be to check your cpu/socket for any discrepancies with gold surface/debris.

Yeah I just checked the AIO 3 times the other day, didn't notice any thing out of place but I could've entirely missed it. Tried reseating the CPU and AIO as well just to make sure, still the same error. My AIO is: Corsair iCUE H150i Elite CAPELLIX XT.

I'll give an extra update once the motherboard is replaced. If it's not that, then I'm gonna 100% assume it's faulty RAM, I think.

Update: New motherboard shows red light on DRAM upon boot, just like previous motherboard. No red light on anything else

Not sure what to do now? I'm thinking it's bad RAM and get it replaced then but would really appreciate an expert opinion.

Final update: Appears Corsair sent me two faulty sticks of RAM. I replaced the dominator RAM with a new set of vengeance RAM and the memtest came back with 0 errors. Also, no crashes in over 24 hours now. Hope this helps anyone else who runs into this issue lol
