Yes, the mic is the default device. It seems Windows detects it. It just stops working.Have you checked Sound Settings to see if the computer is defaulting to another device?
I tried this. It didn't help.It could be power management putting the device to sleep after a set idle time.
Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers
Properties for each USB Root Hub
Click 'Power Management' tab
Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" if checked
It didn't come with any software. I've contacted the manufacturer for advice.What about any software tool that came with it? If there is any, look in that to see if there is some automatic time-out to turn off the Mic when not in use.
What about the LED indicator on the base? I see it says it is GREEN when connected AND working, and RED when it is MUTED.
If it disconnects or mutes itself, MAYBE you can just tap the switch button on the base once or twice to wake it up without having to unplug / replug.
