[citation][nom]rsud[/nom]Great post on your experiences!!You'll get lots of negative clicks from the windoze 10 year olds.[/citation]

Try the windows 30 year old's!
Looks like you have a typing impediment or your just getting desperate.

Why you shouldnt switch to Mac:

1. If you are a gamer. The lack of games getting on the Mac coupled with worse hardware at same price leads to a worse gaming experience.

2. If you work with expensive software. You would have to get a Mac version of the software or a Mac alternative, either way you can end up spending more then the cost of the computer; and on top of that suck salad your software will not run as fast as you get worse hardware at the same cost with a Mac. (Just look at the $2499 PowerMac, 3gb of ram, FFS Jobs update that shit)
3. If you do not play games and free software works just fine for you then how does it make sense to pay the extra money for a Mac. A cheaper PC, though with comparable hardware to a Mac, and Windows 7 provides a quality experience for everything that level of user needs.

Who should switch to Mac:
Someone who doesnt really play games, doesnt really have any software they would have to replace, and cares more about image over cost and performance.

[citation][nom]HavoCnMe[/nom]One of the key points was missed...."we have a right click"[/citation]

The Macintosh has had right click for many, many years. With the Magic Mouse we also have "flick" inertial scrolling. It is a killer feature. I can scroll to the bottom of a webpage in an instant without taking my hand off the mouse. PC's cannot do this, sorry!

There is no good or bad OS. There is only the OS that can better offer what you need. You can also point many things that you can do with a MacOS that Windows can not do. That kind of marketing is only for dumbs. If you want to choose an OS, test it yourself before buying a computer.

[citation][nom]pale paladin[/nom]I support, meaning I work on both platforms at a publicly funded organization and I can tell you that Enterprise = Microsoft. Uppity Marketing or designers = Apple. Enthusiasts who have less than a grand to spend = Microsoft. Hipster yuppies = Apple. Both platforms have much to offer but Microsoft gives you more for your money and gives the user a big big thing: choice. Choice is the great thing about market share and an open hardware allowance.LINUX=almost the best of both worlds if you have the knowledge and time to learn. Ubuntu FTW[/citation]

I have to disagree with you on one part

"Uppity Marketing or designers = Apple",

Design wise, I like using my PC way more than a mac.

Oh it should read like this:
"Uppity Marketing or Ignorant Designers = Apple",

The closest Macbook equivalent of my Asus G73jh-X1 was $5 less than double its cost. Now the Macbooks may come with an iPod touch now, but my G73 still had better specs with its i7 Q720m and Mobility HD5870. 'Nuff said.

[citation][nom]acik84[/nom]if you're boring with windows you can use mac and vise versa.if ur windows infected with virus u can use mac to backup or repair ur windows.so having both is better, not just saying windows is good bla bla, mac is good bla bla. hey!, two is better than one, so use all! cheers[/citation]

Or you can just use Linux. Mac OS X is essentially a version of Unix anyways. Might as well just install Ubuntu on a PC. Or if you're tech inclined you could also look into Darwin which is the source version of OS X.

And for those that are sourcing the old stand by of "macs are better at graphics and video" that went away years ago. With Win9x and then XP and the move from Mac's classic OS to OS X (propriety base to Unix base). The only reason that Macs had those advantages is because of software designed for those purposes being better for the classic Mac OS for photos, videos, and publishing purposes. That has not been the case for a while though because those companies fixed their Windows versions of their software to be on par with the classic Mac versions plus had to remake their Mac versions anyways for OS X.

I did not know that Microsoft is so afraid of Apple now. It seems 10% (yes, MS said PCs outnumber Macs by 10:1, not 5% as some people like to say) is already a scary number. I jiggled everytimes they said you need to hook a hardware dongle when you need to connect this or that. I am not sure they realized that not all PCs still have VGA ports and some kind of "dongle" is needed in such case too.

Anyway, I like to use PC against Mac - I like the freedom it gives me, but I do not do that for the reasons mentioned in this Microsoft Manifesto.

IMO, when it comes to computing and tech in general I always go for the mainstream. Why?

It's easier to find software and parts for a PC than a Mac.

PC holds the crown when it comes to bang for the buck. You get more power per $. Macs are overpriced. You pay a buttload more cash for a Mac running on a C2D than a Windows 7 Laptop running on an i3/i5.

Games. Windows have it. Lots of it. 3 year old games than run on Windows are "new" releases for Mac.

Apps. Tons for windows. Lots of choices.

Granted, Mac OS's aren't plagued by viruses and sh!t like that but who cares? This is just a minor issue that is vastly outweighed by the pros of a Windows based computer. And only an idiot would pay a lot more for something less.

[citation][nom]the_politician[/nom]This ad takes the exact same standpoint as Mac's old "I'm a Mac" ads except it avoids having two douchebags on TV. Even though some of the points are biased - and they should be, it is their advert - this seems far less pretentious. Bring on the tears of Mac users; they sustain me.[/citation]

Well said and I agree 100%.

I always love the Macboy argument of "Well Macs get less viruses and malware..."

No they don't. They simply have such a small share of the market compared to Windows-based PC's, that software companies usually only write for the Windows market. As a result, all of the malicious hackers only need to write worms, trojans, etc., based on that platform to reach a large percentage of computers in a network.

Furthermore, a Mac user needs only to frequent porn or other such nonsense to suffer the same consequences.

As to the "Mac OS is easier"... no it isn't. It's more buggy than Windows 7, and dictates what you, the user can do. Windows is completely moddable, and is limited only by the user, not by software parameters.

If you want to be told what to do, use a Mac. If you want to do whatever you want, use Windows 7.

Macs are for people who don't realize that they are just a "good looking-over priced PCs. The only thing good about macs was its OS (virus related) which now isnt any better than windows 7.

With windows 7 you can hold that anyway you want to. But steve jobs won't come to your house in a little pink dress and let you him sry fanboys OSX users only!

if i remember right mac dosent publish there bugs eather... or has that changed??? i still remember the whopping 150 plus bugs that where present for OSX release... as compared to the 100 minus that where publicly disclosed from microsoft. Mac is a mindfield for personal protection. i want to at least know that theres a bug when it hits.

When I think of PCs = Enterprise class servers in a Data Center, SQL, IIS, Exchange etc. Gaming PCs, Over clocking, Water cooling, SLI/CROSSFIRE etc.

When I think of MACs = Trendy people who don't know how to use technology
