[citation][nom]Ethan314159[/nom]Microsoft is really grasping at straws here. Of course you can't connect an Xbox to a Mac. You think Microsoft would allow that? Not really a fault of Apple.[/citation]
Well that's actually a lie from Microsoft you can also share your media from your Mac/Linux to the xbox360. You just can't do it out of the box, but there is free software out there that allows you to do this.
[citation][nom]belardo[/nom]- TV connections? Macs include TV HDMI output.... most PCs don't, its an add-on. Not a biggie. But here is something most people don't know.[/citation]
[citation][nom]deltatux[/nom]So the whole office thing is bs. As for the dongle, although it does cost money, I can change to different output formats without having to worry when I have a PC laptop. A PC laptop only has VGA or HDMI. Only the higher end ones have both. The Apple one has mini-DisplayPort which allows people to use any format (VGA, DP, DVI and etc.)[/citation]
Actually almost all PCs come with both a VGA port and a HDMI/DVI port, even the lower end laptops. The only exception being netbooks. There are also laptops that have DisplayPort besides Apple.
[citation][nom]Ragnar-Kon[/nom]About the encrypting your drive... I can buy a $120 operating system and encrypt my home folder, or spend $320 to encrypt my whole drive... another $200 just so I can encrypt files that don't really need encrypting anyway? No thanks.[/citation]
Encrypting other folders besides just the home folder is useful. I can encrypt an external hard drive, flash drive,... where as on the Mac I can't. This can be a decisive factor when a corporation chooses their OS's. I can also find Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Retail for $250. I can find it even cheaper if I'm assembling a new computer and buy the OEM version which costs $170. And if I have Windows XP or Windows Vista I can upgraded it for $160.
