mine dont work

Disclaimer: i dont know anything about computers.

When i start my computer, it sounds like it normally does(fans and everything), but nothing shows up on the moniter(it just goes to sleep). I thought there was a problem with the moniter until i hooked it up to another CPU and it worked fine. does anybody have any idea as to what is wrong with my computer?

yea, the face is off and everything seems to be plugged in and what not, but im not hearing any beeps

It could be that the video card is shot. What kind of a computer is it? Is it a Dell, HP, etc or is it custom made?
