So this is happening since day 1 when I plugged in my new RX 580, the monitor works fine if I turn it on before I power on the CPU. But when I power on the CPU first and then the monitor, it just remains blank with no output? Why is this happening? This did not happen when I used the onboard graphics
Specs: Asus H81M-V3 Mb
i5-4440s
Rx 580 4g
HyperX fury single dim 8g

Could be hdmi handshake between gpu and monitor. I looked if there were any firmware updates available, doesn't seem so.

Does onboard graphics do the same? To see if it's monitor or gpu?

I need to do the same with my monitor but in reverse, pc on first before monitor. 1080Ti, xb270Hu - Displayport cable.

It doesn't do this if I connect it to onboard graphics & the monitor only has HDMI ports and no DVI/do either, I tried using all the ports on both GPU and the monitor, it still does the same thing.

Not much can do really, during post its all basic plug and play, no drivers are initiated yet.

Maybe look through the monitor's onscreen menu for power saving features or similar to fiddle with.

Just gonna have to get used to it like me :) haha
