Hi,
Recently, I decided to build my very own computer. I made a few bad choices here and there but I ended up with this:
Pentium 4 1.9Ghz 400Mhz FSB
Asus P4B533
80GB 7200 RPM western digital
Generic 512 MB PC2100 DDR RAM <-- I know!
Chaintech Geforce 4 TI 4200 64MB
MT-3000 case with a Codegen 300W P4 Ready Power supply
Futura LD712 17" monitor
and a few other bits and pieces
now, I read the monitor guide before buying my moniter, and decided I would run my system at 1024 x 768 which would give it 86Hz. At the online store micropro.com, they said the monitor had a "flat square tube" and it also says that in the minitor's manual. When I got the monitor though, the screen was not really that flat. It was just as curved as the the computers at my office. I called the customer service and they said that that was just how the monitors were called and that they just copied the stats from the manufacturor. Now what should I do? Is this the fault of the manufacturer or the dealer? does "flat square tube" mean it can still be curvy? My dad's monitor he got from Samsung was truly flat. I feel pretty shafted.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Jeff
