Hello! I'm having just about the most frustrating error I've ever had, and at the most inconvenient time (finals week). Yesterday morning my keyboard (drivereless mechanical keyboard, rosewill rk 9200), was working great. So I got home from school and decided to do some pc maintenance and ran ccleaner and the built in registry repair feature (done it before, worked just fine), defragged my hdd, ran windows "delete unnecessary files tool", and that was about it. I also took the keycaps off my kb and cleaned them off just because I felt like it. So I come back to my desktop, plug it in, and all of the lights illuminate (caps, and both the lock keys notification led's), and I get a little message on the bottom right that reads, "USB device not recognize". So I go to device manager, and I get this

So I tried just about everything; different usb port, different usb cable, upgrading to and back from windows 10, unplugging my pc, reinstalling my motherboard drivers, and nothing. The usb port works fine with other devices, and the keyboard works fine with my laptop. I really would appreciate any help, as I have just about given up. Typing this on a rubber dome now, and am having a seriously hard time 😛
Btw, I've seriously tried to follow every youtube video and guide that I can find, to no success. Could it be that I ran ccleaner and other space freeing tools simultaneously. This has happened before, but usually just plugging it in and out works fine.

Let me clarify, whenever I plug in my keyboard it gets recognized as an unknown device. I can't use that specific keyboard for some reason, and am trying to get it to be recognized again, but I need help on how to go about this

Plug it in, use your mouse to go to the unknown device in device manager select properties and click update drivers and let windows search the web! That is all I want you to try to do! If that does not work I do not know what!

They might have been a little wet, but the kb still works 100% on any other device. I'll try the restore I suppose, and if not, a reinstall. Do you know of any good free software for backing up? I have a few spare hdd's

Edit; So I took apart the keyboard fully and left it to air dry for a day and did a full proper cleaning, and that didn't help (although I do have a clean keyboard now). I'm almost certain this is a software issue, so fresh install it is

Sure, I'm working on it first thing after school today (last day of finals), and i'm really hoping it works out! Also, if not, I might just upgrade my platform for Christmas then, I've had this setup for quite some time
