So today i am receiving my new Asus Z390-A board and a I5-9600k. Currently rocking a z270-k with a 7600k. Yesterday i got another 16gb kit from Corsair for a total of 32gb and ran into a problem i didnt even know i could have. My ram is Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15. I had a 16gb kit and purchased another and found it wont post with the XMP profile having it at 3000mhz, best i got was 2133. From what i have seen on here is the motherboard wont handle that speed with all 4 slots filled. I am also worried the same will happen with my new board.
So my question is for 16gb at 3000mhz is it worth it to add the extra 16gb at a slower speed of 2133mhz or should i just return the ram and stick with 16gb.
Side note i game on this daily and it isnt used for any work intensive programs.
