Hi,

I need your help, I tried everything...

I bought a new power supply (Zalman GigaMax ZM550-GVII) and a new motherboard (ASUS PRIME Q270M-C). I took CPU (Intel Core i7-8700) from my old PC and tried to start the PC (to motherboard is connect fan only and RAM, nothing more). But it will not boot up. I already tried to reset CMOS and tested power supply. Do you have an idea, what could be wrong?

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Welcome to the forums!
Plese confirm this is your motherboard here.

If yes the Specs page clearly stated that it supports 6th and 7th Generation Intel Core i3, 5 and 7 CPUs. Your 'old' CPU is not compatible with the new motherboard, unfortunately.

You need to either get a motherboard that is compatible with Intel Core i7-8700 or get an Intel CPU from the list of the supported CPUs with your new board here.

Yes, this is my motherboard. Thank you for your answer, I will buy a new motherboard and this time I will verify compatibility more carefully.
