My parent's old PC that they bought in 2013 has stopped booting, its old and really slow so instead of trying to fix it, I want to get them a brand new PC with an SSD. They have important files on the HDD of the old PC and would want to transfer all the data from there to the new PC. How would I go about transferring all the data from that old HDD in the PC that does not boot up to the new PC?

Solution
Honestly the simplest method would be to just add the HDD to the new PC.
Set the SSD as the boot drive in the BIOS and let the HDD just live in the system. Full access to all their files, no transferring or lost files required.
Alternatively, get an external HDD dock and plug the drive in and transfer over whatever you need.
