[SOLVED] Moving internal HDDs outside of the chassis. What options?

So out of interest I thought to myself 'nowadays many PC cases only have 2x 3.5 bays, so how can I use my 4x HDDs if I were to buy one of these cases?'
What options are there? The most obvious first option is buying a DAS and the second one is to enclosure each HDD in a separate external box. That's it?

Most sensible option would be getting pc case, that supports number of drives, you will need.
Also you can install 3.5" drive into 5.25" drive bay with appropriate adapter.

If you absolutely want your drives externally, then NAS box.

There is also DAS (Direct attached storage) but then your selection would be limited to the type of ports available on your new rig. USB-3/C, TB3, eSata, fiber

Or, get a case that accommodates your hardware.
