[SOLVED] Msi B450M pro vdh max with Ryzen 7 3700x?

I recently bought the b450m pro vdh max to go with the ryzen 7 3700x. I’ve seen some things saying this board isn’t powerful enough for this cpu? I’m not planning on overclocking, wondering whether I will be okay? Don’t really want to spend the extra £50 on better board if possible

not sure what you saw or where, but it is more than capable of handling the 65w 3700x!!

The real issue is that it probably requires a BIOS update in order to get the PC to even boot.

nope this mobo is already 3rd gen ready. so should need no BIOS update. should work right out of the box.

most of the better b450 boards work out of the box now.
