I have a MSI R9 390 8 gb gpu just got it from a dealer near me it was 4 months old but the warranty is wore off due to him trying to change the thermal paste now when I got it the gpu was fine we did a whole benchmark and it was splendid I was excited but when I got home which is like a 40 min drive, I tried to put it in my PC and by mistake I only plugged in one 6 pin pcie as the gpu needs one 6 pin & 6+2 pin pcie but I realised my mistake and did the right thing and still there’s no display no fans are spinning just the led of the gpu is on it has been like this for the last 2 weeks…here are my specs: gigabyte h81 ms motherboard+16 gigs of ram+Corsair 750w psu+i7 4770+500 gigs of Hdd & no Ssd
Please help me I think my gpu is dead

Seems unlikely that a GPU bought an hour ago is now dead and does not work on your system. There must be something with your hardware if the card was working perfectly when you tested it at the dealer's place.

Make sure to reconnect all the correct PCI-Express 6/8-PIN cables properly, and reseat the GPU back on the PCIe slot. Connect the Monitor's cable properly to the GPU's display output port. It could also be a power supply issue.

If you have a spare GPU with you right now, then try connecting that first. If the system works/boots, then most likely the card you bought is faulty, though that seems very odd to me. Update your motherboard's BIOS if required, and clear/reset all the CMOS/BIOS settings to factory default values, and reboot your system.

What's the exact Model number of your Corsair PSU ?

so I did what you just said but a different way how I checked my psu is I took a multimeter and checked the voltage of the pins and it’s all perfect as it should be psu is fine…also I jammed in the connectors properly but no results whatsoever

Weird. I'm not sure what else to say or assume about this issue.
