I have been using 144hz for a while now, and randomly out of nowhere it reset back to 60hz. When i look at display settings in the dropdown menu, it only shows 60hz and below even though it is a 144hz monitor. I do not know what happened and I can't find anything that helps.

Solution
check;

Settings > System > Display > Advanced Display Settings > Display Adapter Properties
in the Monitor tab, check if refresh rate is set correctly

in your GPU control software
check that resolution, refresh rate, and all settings related to the display are correct

in your monitor's OSD menu
check that the refresh rate and any available "overclock" options are set correctly

and make sure the latest monitor drivers from the manufacturer's product support page are installed
