I have a 2700x with a stock wraith prism. I tried to overclock this processor But @ 4ghz it reaches very close to 100c and even sometimes shuts down. Ive seen people push this cpu further with the same stock cooler. Is this normal during cinnabench? Or are my temps to high?

Solution
Your first problem is that stock cooler, never rely on amd oem heatsinks for anything.
Your other problem is the preapplied thermal grease they included on that wrath heatsink fan.
If your going to rely on air cooling get a good quality one, yeah the price is steep but worth it in the long haul.

If you want to try your hand at water cooling, go with corsair and this thermal grease here.
