Next time I will put a disclaimer about "splitting hairs" since its the #1 cuase of lemmingism on this forum. funny how when I posted SS, you were claiming that it was a fake and how I cannot fake 3Dmark scores. LMAO.

Why do you keep mentioning your whql drivers you moron, just cause they are stable dosent mean they are slower.

You brag and go off about how big your pecker is, but when it comes down to it you're all about excuses and lies. How was Hawaii Fugger? What about JPL? Did you meet the President in D.C.? Sure 7330 is respectable, but you did it by overclocking a 1.8 didn't you? What ever happened to breaking 8000 easy on a tweaked 1.5 Ghz? You're so full of crap that it's just plain pathetic. All you had to do was come back and say "Look, my score rocks but I had to do it on a different machine since the one I thought could, really couldn't". You just aren't man enough though. You know wusy fugger soon will getting an Athlon with his Nforce you know. Fugger is a bigger nvidia user then an Intel user. Yup since fugger doesn't want to have ATi product's, ATi is very close to intel as we speak there putting intel technology into there up and coming chipsets for the Celeron and P4.

Then he wants to hide behind the xbox. xbox was started before ATi and Intel started to sign Cross-lincensing Agreements. Fugger your a fake.

Does this thread win any records , it has a huge number of views and posts. I don't regret calling FUGGER a liar, I wish it did'nt cause people to get sickend to the whole forums though! And the p4 beats the athlon on a few optimised benchmarks, one of which being 3dmark2001, would I rate a system totally on its 3dmark score.....umm no.

PS: lol, at stock speeds most p4 systems dont beat athlon, and also, is the extra 500pts worth 400 bucks, i didnt think so.

the current crippled P4 owns you in 3dmark2001, now that's hilarious!

the P4 is a relatively new chip, has been on the market less than a month, has better thermal protection, better design, better platform, upgradable and better support even at it's present form(.18 micron).

the tbird 1.4 has been out for a while and it still is a POS missing thermal protection cpu, fragile crumbling POS core and it is priced accordingly by AMD, it's too bad they didn't price it at $100 from the get go.

PS, there are more ppl who got ripped off(paid over $600) by AMD slotA than there will ever be with any P4.

also, I think that AMD should get into selling digital projectors, maybe they can devaule that market also, so everybody can have a projector. I hope AMD includes a fire retardant housing, because those things get f'n hot!

hmmm... it seems that some people use 1 specific benchmark to determine a procvessors speed. Since that's the case, Why not use Office Bench Enterprise/IT performance bench?

Hmmm?

P4 2 ghz is 20% slower than Athlon 1.4 and 10% slower than AthlonMP 1.2

So who realkly cares about ONE benchmark when one benchmark in no way indicates overall performance?

Since I don't play games, I could care less about the gaming benchmarks.

granted.. even though through BIOS support you also get fool proof thermal protection for most socket A boards these days. Just need to enable it in bios.. hardly a consideration when evaluating my next cpu

uh ? I could be wrong, but Socket A has lasted me from 600 Mhz to 1.4 (133%) so far.. more is on the way. P4 went from a whopping 1.3 to 2.0 Ghz (54%) b4 requiring a new socket..

? Oh really ? Would 10% of commercially available applications be SSE2 optimized ? (and, keep in mind that would require an expensive upgrade of ALL your non-optimized soft). I prefer a cpu that requires no optimization to perform well. Instead of having 10% of available apps support your cpu, you get a cpu that supports 100% of the available (and purchased) applications.

The slot A Athlon was the best performing cpu back then. Yes it was (too) expensive, but whats the difference in getting a 2Ghz P4 today ?

Not to mention which, the first CPU I bought was a Pentium II 300, and it set me back rather more than $600 (closer to $900 if I remember correctly). Either company will rip you off if they can.
