Question my graphics card is running too hot?

ive been using a AMD RADEON R7 260X DOUBLE DISSAPATION for a long time now and its alwas served me fine but today my computer turned off randomly so i turned it on again but that didnt work so i waited a bit and then it turned on so i stress tested the cpu and it was fine at 67 degrees but when i stress tested my gpu at 100% fan speed it went up to 96 degrees before my computer shut off, this card has never over heated before can someone please give me a solution on how to bring the temps down?

Has the card ever been dissembled or dropped? There is an issue with cooling if it is running that hot. The cooler may not be making good contact with the GPU core.

It has been disassembled before because it wasnt working so I gave it to a computer shop to fix around 1 year ago, Will replacing the thermal paste on the card help? because to my knowledge it hasnt been changed since i bought it a long time ago

Maybe if it's totally dried up or not enough was used. I would say it's more likely the cooler is just loose or not properly mounted.

Its weird because I never had this issue before and it just started happening today, what do you recommend that i do?
