Question My H100i Elite Capellix not showing up in iCUE

So I've had this CPU cooler for about 2 years. No problems at all with it. But since yesterday it doesn't appear in iCUE or in "Device Manager" or "Bluetooth & other devices" on Windows. Since it started doing this the fans on the cooler are running quite loudly, so I can only assume its at 100%. I've gone through and followed Corsairs guide to try to fix the problem with iCUE but it didn't amount to anything.

I've gone in and reattached all the connections to my motherboard relating to the cooler(commander core and the actual mount itself) and it still had no effect. The CPU is reading ~30C idle so it's clearly still functional but I can't control its speed, when I was in the BiOS the fan and pump rpms were reading zero but I could very easily tell that they are running at full speed. I've also updated my BiOS. I've reinstalled Windows to clear ANY possible conflicting software and still nothing.

The only thing I have left is to take it into a computer store and see if they can diagnose the problem, however that is a 2-4 day time period and will also cost me $50. So I want to see if I can fix it at home first.

P.S. The computer is still fully functional it's just the CPU fans are extremely loud due to the fact they are running at 100% RPM.

i don't think it shows in Device manager or Bluetooth/other devices anyway - or at least my H100i RGB platinum doesn't. Guess I don't have a commander core though.

you can run hwinfo to look at what speed it runs at... but that doesn't assist in control.

I think something went wrong with the AIO. You might be best contacting Corsair.

I can imagine the fans are loud, i barely hear mine at 900rpm but once they over 2k they noticeable.

So you would say its a problem with the cooler? I am able to buy and replace the part myself but I'd want to be 100% on the part that needs replacing.

EDIT: I just installed Corsair Link and it's recognizing my CPU cooler as a H80iGT? But even that isn't showing up in iCUE

I would ask on here: https://forum.corsair.com/forums/forum/155-icue-software/
or here: https://forum.corsair.com/forums/forum/45-cooling/

thats unlikely given that the H80i GT is only 120mm - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Liquid-Cooling/Hydro-Series™-H80i-GT-High-Performance-Liquid-CPU-Cooler/p/CW-9060017-WW

Sounds to me like some logic on the AIO or maybe Commander Core itself is misbehaving.
I would contact Corsair before replacing anything as it might be under warranty?

Bad firmware updates can cause the problems you are having - https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/149717-h115i-platinum-firmware-update-crashed-pump/

link

might be a way to reflash the firmware to see if that fixes it.

Your tale tells me the Commander Core is not responding to the iCUE software. Two possible causes: the Core unit is NOT getting power from the PSU, or the USB cable connection to the mobo header is faulty. I know you have checked all connections, but concentrate on those.
