Question My phone keeps connecting/disconnecting continuously when I connect it to my new Hp laptop with an Data cable.

Hi. I bought a new lap two weeks before the model is HP Notebook - 15-da0074tx.

I installed windows 10 on my own. Not yet activated.

But when I connected my Samsung Phone with a data cable it starts connecting/disconnecting continuously. Sometimes it works fine, but mostly it keeps connecting/disconnecting. I checked the data cable if it works fine by connecting it in my pc and found it as working.

I connected a mouse which also worked without any issues on my laptop.

Only when I connect any mobiles, it is not connecting properly but I could see my phone getting charged. I tried by updating the driver from websites and also tried by uninstall the driver already present. I don't know what to do and what is the problem. Will be helpful if any suggestion is given. Thank you.

maybe a faulty laptop port or cable? i don't think it would be any of the software.

If it was a new laptop it comes with the license for windows 10 embedded in the BIOS so it should be activated already but it should’ve come with windows 10 pre-installed. Did it used to work before you installed windows 10?
