So I have a DJI mini SE drone and my phone is a Moto G Stylus. Used to have no issues with this and out of nowhere I just can' t seem to get my phone to even proc the USB in the system notifications where it will ask how you want whats plugged in to be associated with what and such. When I plug the drone remote to my phone, the phone will start charging then stop then charge then stop then charge over the span of a few seconds each time, then on the last time when it starts charging it just stays charging after that with nothing popping up in notifications whatsoever. I checked USB debugging is enabled but I did notice for the default debugging app there was nothing for it or even available to choose from, not sure if that maybe has something to do with it.

Thank you in advance for your time

Do you have another known working USB cable to try?

This drone?

https://www.dji.com/mini-se/specs

From the specs:
  • Supported USB Port Types
  • Lightning, Micro USB (Type-B), USB Type-C
I have tried another to no avail. That is the correct drone.

Tried resetting app preferences/ default apps. This is the first time ever that when I plug something into my phone that usb options don't pop up in system notifications. It just starts charging my phone.

Also made sure that in developer options that USB debugging is on.

"At least a dozen apps".....

You may need to uninstall those apps and determine if the charging process is stable and works.

Then add back (if desired) those apps one by one allowing time between app installs.

And what exactly was fixed on the drone? Where did the parts come from?

I replaced the gps module, the 3 in 1 gps, gimbal, compass ribbon cable as well as the ESC board and ESC ribbon cable., the parts were sourced from reliable ebay retailers.

Just remove the installed apps then.

If charging becomes normal again then try adding the apps back (if and as necessary) one at a time. Allow time between installs.

Then if the charging problem starts up again the last added app is likely the culprit.
